Châteaubrun, forteresse médiévale, est le lieu de vie des sculptures monumentales de Guy Baudat.

Il ne s’agit pas d’un showroom dédié au marché de l'art. La forteresse est ouverte au public dans le seul cadre des « Journées du Patrimoine ».

Guy Baudat travaille dans une semi-clandestinité, hors de tout système, hors de toute bibliographie, hors de tout tapage médiatique, hors de toute cote, hors des codes, hors du monde.

Ses sculptures ne sont pas à vendre et ne relèvent pas du ministère du bon goût.

Mur noir (Bronze. L : 6m) Sixième niveau. Incommunicabilité. Le mur est opaque, l’homme et la femme se fondent dans la nuit du mur sans s’être jamais rencontrés. La sexualité est devenue virtuelle. L’homme pénètre le mur à une extrémité, la femme est pénétrée par le mur à l’autre extrémité. De part et d’autre. L’énigme demeure. Font-ils le plein d’une sombre énergie ou est-ce un exercice d’hygiène ? Quoi qu’il en soit, la rencontre n’aura jamais lieu.

Equipped with voyeurs’s binoculars three predators scrutinise their prey. Denunciation of pedophile practices is based on reality. The tourists, consumers of oriental under-age are, on leaving their charter plane, installed on an immense gallery which overlooks a courtyard where the coveted victims are parked. Incommunicability. The wall is opaque. The man and woman melt into the black wall without ever coming together. Sexuality has become virtual. The man enters the wall at one end, woman is penetrated by the wall at the other. Here and their the enigma remains. Are they filling up with a dark energy or is it a hygienic exercise ?
